Skiing and Snowboarding for the first time by Maisie, Harvey and Milla

Maisie- I think I did pretty well.  I didn't fall over too many times.  The boots are very tight.  I was perfectly warm in the right number of layers of clothing.  I can snow plow and turn and keep my balance without falling over.
We went up the big chairlift and had a hot chocolate at the top.  I am still feeling quite flat and don't have a heap of energy.  We saw Mont Blanc from the top.  Flaine pronounced Flen, is at 2480m at the top which is very high.  Mont Blanc is the highest mountain and it is over 4000m.

Harvey-  I was up first this morning and stormed out the door.  I fell over a lot and am very sore.
My instructor is Sebastien and he taught me to lean forwards.  I can't turn yet.  He said maybe in a few days.  I practised a lot this afternoon and think I will sleep well tonight.

Milla-  Today I found carrying my skis tricky as they were heavy.  I can kind of turn.  I went on the magic carpet lots of times.  My instructor is called Serge. I found going to the toilet hard because I had lots of layers on.

  1. We have been anxiously waiting to hear how you were all going with the skiing and snowboarding. i remember how tight the boots were too Maisie. Milla I don't like turning neither. Is that a big snowball you are lifting Harvey and Maisie? Where is the snowman? Tonight on the news we heard how much snow there has been in Europe so you have picked a good week to see lots of snow falling. x Nannie
