We went to the Vatican which is where the Pope lives.
It is a very beautiful place because he is very important. But a couple of Popes ago, the Pope got shot because some people didn't believe in his religion.
I liked it because there were tiled floors with very little tiles. 👌🏻 they made paintings out of the tiles which I think would take a long time because of the size of the tiles.
On the walls, there was pretty paintings, sculptures and other objects that were old and unique. There was a globe without Australia on it because it hadn't been discovered yet.
On the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel there were paintings which took 4 or so years to paint. It was like an art gallery on the ceiling. I think this is very impressive because they had to paint it while they were on a ladder or laying down looking up. 🖌 You aren't allowed to take photos in the Sistine Chapel because people are praying. I had to be quiet. All the ceilings in all the rooms were all very beautiful.
For our last night in Rome we went out for dinner and had margarita pizza. I'm glad I'm feeling a bit better today. I hardly ate any pizza though.

Great stories guys. I'm glad you're feeling better Milla. You're making me want gelatti now too. I had forgotten how big the colosseum is. Are mum and dad enjoying the coffee? Did they need to wash the snow off the plane Harvey? In Norway, they had big sprinklers that melted the snow before they take off. Looking forward to hearing all about it when you're back as I suspect you'll be super tired after skiing all day. xx brooke
